Brian McClendon, the aforementioned VP, has reportedly been planning to depart for some time, and will also remain connected to Uber in an advisory role. Jones, on the other hand, seemingly wants nothing more to do with the company he joined just six months ago, issuing a statement to Recode claiming "the beliefs and approach to leadership that have guided my career are inconsistent with what I saw and experienced at Uber." "After we announced our intention to hire a COO, Jeff came to the tough decision that he doesn't see his future at Uber," embattled CEO Travis Kalanick said in a note to Uber employees. "It is unfortunate that this was announced through the press but I thought it was important to send all of you an email before providing comment publicly." Jones was recruited to Uber from Target, and was brought on board to assist Kalanick in managing the company. His departure after less than a year on the job and his thinly veiled jab at Uber's corporate culture as he makes his way out the door is certainly telling.

Now, Google has greatly expanded the project to cover all 50 U.S. states, with a total of 60 million buildings in the database. According to Google, weather patterns, sun positioning changes and possible shade from nearby buildings is taken into account. The result is a map which not only lets home owners easily assess whether they should consider a solar roof, but it also offers a good insight of the country's solar energy potential. | Pentagon launches probe after strike near Syria mosque Posted: 20 Mar 2017 10:47 AM PDT  The US military is probing allegations that a strike targeting Al-Qaeda leaders near a mosque in northern Syria killed numerous civilians, the Defense Department said Monday. The Pentagon says the strike targeted a meeting of senior Al-Qaeda leaders but local reports and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring group have claimed dozens of people were killed, including civilians. Pentagon spokesman Navy Captain Jeff Davis told reporters that officials initially thought there were "zero" civilian casualties.

This was an improvement of 0.5 percent in his position in an Elabe poll on Monday conducted before the debate, while Le Pen lost 0.5 percent.
