Incoming college freshmen are more likely than ever before to say they are very likely to participate in protests while in college, an annual survey released Thursday shows. There's also been an uptick in other indicators of students' civic engagement and their desire to improve racial understanding, according to "The American Freshman," a nationally representative survey of new full-time students published by the Higher Education Research Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Valentine's Day has become something of a favourite among young people in many Southeast Asian countries in recent years, with bunches of red roses and heart-shaped chocolates cropping up in stores and on street stalls each February. The Cambodian Ministry of Education directive, which was sent to private and public schools on on Tuesday, ordered teachers to "take measures to prevent inappropriate activities on Valentine's Day".


School bus, car collide in Riverside County, injuring 4
