Michigan Court Strikes Down Challenge to DPS Emergency Manager Posted: 16 Nov 2012 02:59 PM PST The Michigan Court of Appeals ruled on Friday that the repeal of Public Act 4, the state's most recent emergency manager law, effectively reinstates the previous such measure, known as Public Act 72. According to MLive and other media outlets, the court's ruling struck down a lawsuit filed by Highland Park school board member Robert Davis, who sought to challenge the appointment of Roy Roberts as the emergency financial manager of the Detroit Public Schools. |
