How Will Colleges Adapt to New Populations? Posted: 23 Sep 2013 01:30 AM PDT The number of high school graduates in the United States has been on the decline since 2012. With the exception of a few blips along the way, that population isn't expected to rebound. The Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education projects that by 2025, the next "peak year," there will only be about 100,000 more high school graduates than in 2011. After that, the number of high school graduates will consistently decline, reflecting the decrease in births after the 2007 recession. |
