3 Student Loan Wishes for 2016

This year was a busy and exciting one in the student loan world, especially for consumers. Corinthian Colleges, one of the biggest higher education corporations in the U.S., filed for bankruptcy and eventually closed its doors, leading consumer advocacy groups, attorney s general and the Department of Education to explore ways to provide relief to affected students. The Obama administration issued a Student Aid Bill of Rights, and as a result of other actions, the U.S. Department of Education wrote rules for and released a new income-driven repayment option, called REPAYE.
