That's not to say that voter anger in November was entirely wasted. The Tea Parties did a particularly effective job of raising spending issues that many majority Democrats tried to suppress. |

The crater left by the Bush Administration claimed many casualties. Now that President Obama's bipartisan deficit commission has proposed the most anti-middle class austerity measures in generations, new parents like myself are anxiously following these depressing developments. |
