Photo before prom leaves Wis. students drenched

Posted:

In this photo provided by Susan Orne, a group of Wisconsin high school students make their way out of the waist-deep water after a pier they were posing for photos prior to their prom collapsed, sending about half of the 18 students on the pier into a lake, in Oconomowoc, Wis. on Saturday, May 5, 2012. The kids sloshed toward one student's home, where they all broke out the towels, hair dryers and clothes dryers. Everyone made the big event, and Orne says the incident has provided them a memory they'll all enjoy at their 50th reunion. While a multitude of factors contribute to the disparity -- most glaringly the quality of instruction in poorly funded schools -- there are some underlying psychological factors as well.

CAIRO (Reuters) - Egypt's military rulers will replace four ministers in a limited cabinet reshuffle that will be announced officially on Thursday, the state MENA news agency quoted an unnamed official as saying. The ministers are for higher education, culture, manpower and parliamentary affairs, MENA said. Egyptians begin voting in two weeks' time in their first presidential election since Hosni Mubarak was ousted in February 2011. The polls could bring into government members of the Muslim Brotherhood, which has been calling for the replacement of the cabinet.
