The coincidences mount, as another Putin critic is shot dead Posted: 24 Mar 2017 03:12 PM PDT An outspoken critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin was shot dead in broad daylight in Kiev Thursday, just two days after a lawyer for the family of a slain Russian whistleblower was injured in a mysterious fall from his fourth-story apartment near Moscow. Denis Voronenkov was a former Russian Communist Party member who'd become increasingly critical of Putin's policies after fleeing to Ukraine in 2016. As it has after similar incidents, the Kremlin swiftly rejected any suggestion it was involved in Voronenkov's murder. |

The state carrier and other airlines said they would bar Ravindra Gaikwad from flying after the fracas which has triggered a debate on the behavior of members of the political elite, and calls for a no-fly list for unruly passengers. Gaikwad, from the Shiv Sena party, allies of India's ruling BJP, did not apologize for Thursday's confrontation and told reporters he had been badly treated. |

Duterte castigated the EU for urging him to focus his campaign on drugs rehabilitation and stood by his security-centered approach to a crackdown that has left thousands of people dead since he took office nine months ago. ISPs Can Now Sell Your Private Data: How to Protect Yourself Posted: 24 Mar 2017 08:20 AM PDT The Internet may seem like an apolitical entity, but the fact is, the United States government has a great deal of influence over it. On Thursday (Mar. 23), the U.S. Senate voted to overturn an important broadband privacy rule implemented under the Obama administration. Your ISP may soon be able to collect and sell your online data with reckless abandon, and frankly, unless you're willing to kneecap your own Internet access, you can't do much about it. |

"In the Name of the People", a new show by propaganda department of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP), China's top prosecutor, follows an intrepid SPP anti-graft investigator sent to a fictional province from Beijing to tackle corruption at the highest levels of local officialdom. On Thursday, Fillon charged that Hollande had headed a "secret cell" that was responsible for revelations that have led to criminal charges against the candidate. |
