Pakistani Taliban militants have threatened more assaults on schools and universities since the Jan. 20 attack on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda, fuelling a growing sense of insecurity in the country. The attack had reminded Pakistanis of the horrors that took place a little over a year earlier, when militants massacred 134 pupils at an army school just 19 miles (31 km) away, in Peshawar, the main city in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

5 shows to stream this week: Vinyl, Furious 7, and moreAs streaming video grows at a monster pace, there's always something awesome coming online, no matter the week. What's dropping and when becomes important knowledge as you organize your queue and schedule your binge time accordingly. We know you don't have time to cull the good from the bad in the barrage of new movies and TV shows loading up the Internet pipelines, but don't worry — we do. This week, HBO Now offers the best material for streaming viewers, with a new series from Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger, the return of John Oliver to late night TV, and last summer's biggest blockbuster all hitting the service. Here are our picks for five of the best titles to stream this week: Vinyl  (Series premiere) HBO A new Scorsese and Mick Jagger-produced rock series from HBO, Vinyl follows a 1970s record executive in dire need of a new sound to save his company. With an all-star cast that includes Olivia Wilde, Bobby Cannavale, Ray Romano, and Juno Temple, plus Jagger's own son James, the series should be a well-crafted and compelling watch with plenty of rock-era shenanigans to go round. Furious 7 HBO Last summer's biggest blockbuster makes it to HBO this weekend, providing viewers a couple hours of fast cars to race them through President's Day in style. The last in the  Fast and The Furious  series to feature Paul Walker, who passed away in the middle of filming, Furious 7  is a well-crafted action flick, an excellent film to come out of such tragedy. Dope YouTube Netflix A crime-comedy about a group of hip-hop-obesessed Inglewood high school students who accidentally get stuck with a backpack full of drugs,  Dope  received high praise from critics when it first appeared at last year's Sundance Film Festival. Produced by Forest Whitaker and Pharrell Williams, the film is most notable for its compelling characters, a believable trio of friends who manage to effectively suspend disbelief, even when things get crazy. Last Week Tonight With John Oliver (Season premiere) HBO Daily Show  alum John Oliver brings his comedy news show back to HBO this weekend, with the first new episodes since he took a winter break last year. A hilarious and well-executed effort, Oliver has done well to carry the comedy-news series, with a large segment of each show dedicated to a single political or social issue. The Imitation Game Hulu The story of Alan Turing's quest to break German codes during WWII, and the miraculous machine he designed to do it,  The Imitation Game is an epic real-life tale. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Turing, the film received overwhelming critical praise in 2014 — garnering 8 Academy Award nominations, and winning the award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
