Correction: Education-Outdoor Orientation (AP) Posted: 23 Sep 2011 04:05 PM PDT AP - In a Sept. 17 story about college outdoor orientation programs, The Associated Press erroneously reported the percentage difference in retention rates for students who participate in such a program at West Virginia University and those who don't. The 87 percent retention rate for participants was 7 percentage points higher than the rate among nonparticipants, not 10 percentage points higher. |
