Gov. Nathan Deal concludes his news conference in the Capitol to discuss the findings of the special investigation of alleged cheating on test scores in the Atlanta Public School System on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 in Atlanta. Deal said 44 of the 56 schools investigated took part in cheating. Investigators also found that 38 principals were wither responsible for the cheating or were directly involved in it. And they determined that 178 teachers and principals cheated. Of those, 82 confessed to the misconduct. (AP Photo/Atlanta Journal & Constitution, Bob Andres)AP - Just a month before classes start, Atlanta schools officials are trying to determine how many of the 178 teachers and principals accused of cheating are still on the job following a scathing state investigation that found some educators held "changing parties" to correct answers.
